Moitrisanjog supports community members to explore practical livelihood opportunities, strengthen skills and move toward greater economic independence. Rather than treating each activity as a separate programme, different livelihood activities should be presented together under this single initiative.
Community members are supported to engage with traditional Sitalpati craft and weaving as a potential livelihood pathway. The work may include skill strengthening, production support, product development and opportunities to connect with markets.
Skill-building opportunities in beauty and personal care are facilitated for interested community members to help them explore self-employment or other income-generating possibilities.
Community members interested in food preparation and catering are supported to develop practical experience and explore small-scale income opportunities through community and event-based catering activities.
Moitrisanjog supports community-based production of eco-friendly items, including plate-making and related products, as one possible pathway for local income generation.
Where possible, Moitrisanjog helps community members identify training, livelihood schemes, market opportunities and other linkages that may strengthen income-generation efforts.
